Tervajärvi rental base is a self-service rental for self-service hikers. On the summertime you can rent canoes, SUP borads, rowing boat and wintertime you can rent snowshoes and wide skishoes and other hiking equipment all year round.
Tervajärvi rental base
Tervajärvi Rental Base is located in Repovesi National Park at the gate of Tervajärvi at Kivisilmäntie 720 47910 Kouvola, right near the parking lot and the shore, next to the accessible toilet building. You can recognize Tervajärvi Rental Base by the sign above the door ("Tervajärven välinevuokraamo"). The canoes and rowing boat are located on the right side of the path leading from the parking lot to the shore.
There is lighting in the rental base, so even renting on winter evenings, for example, can be done in light. Outside the rental base, at the end of the building, there is a bench for e.g. adjusting snowshoes. The operation of the rental base is based on strong trust between the merchant and the customers.
How the rental base works, how the door opens
Rent and pay for rental equipment in the online store. After payment, you will receive the necessary PIN codes to the e-mail address and mobile phone number you provided. PIN code messages are sent to the customer 60 min before the start of the rental. The e-mail message contains detailed instructions and codes, the text message only the codes.
The rental base´s door PIN code is used in the lower (electronic) key box (lIgloohome) on the right side of the rental base´s door, where the customer gets the key to the rental base´s door lock.
The key of the rental base is used to open the locks of the canoes and the boat.
The PIN code of the equipment cabinet lock's key box is used for the key box inside the rental office on the left side of the door, which says "varsutekaappi, equipment cabinet". You can get the equipment cabinet key from the box.
At the rental base door, do the following:
The key box is on the right side of the rental base door, use the lower key box
Touch the lock image in the middle of the key box, the box responds with one beep
Enter the PIN code you received and finally press the lock image in the middle of the key box
The box mourns, emits a three-tone beep, and a green light flashes in the middle of the box
Grasp the left and right side of the box with a forefinger - thumb grip and open the box lid and pick up the key from the box.
Open the rental base door and pick up the equipment you rented. Use the key of the rental base door to open the locks on the canoes or rowing boat. The key box for the equipment cabinet is on the left side of the door. When you have collected the equipment and unlocked the canoe, for example, leave the keys in the key boxes and close the lids of the boxes. The electronic key box mourns when closed, beeps once for a long time and at the same time the green light in the middle of the box lights up for a moment.
Leave the keys into the key boxes before you leave for your trip. This way, other renters can also use the rental base's products. Make sure even before the start of the trip, e.g. before going into the lake with the canoe, that you left the keys in the key boxes!
The base door has a QR code that redirects you to this website and guides you through, among other things, opening a key box.
Monitoring
Tervajärvi Rental Base is a 24-hour supervised space. Each self-service user is identified and registered. All abuses, thefts and the like are reported to the police. In connection with a criminal complaint, camera surveillance recordings, identifiers and related personal data are submitted to the authority.
